Christmas is three months away. Has it even crossed your mind yet? It seems like every year, the Christmas jeer starts earlier and earlier. This year is no exception. Finding the hottest Christmas toy will always be on people’s minds way before Christmas time. Knowing which toys will be the next greatest hit and most desirable by children is very important.

It’s inevitable every year; thousands of parents wander the toy isles, trying to find the one best Christmas toy for their child. And every year, they watch in dismay as the hottest Christmas toy is always the hardest to find.

Toys R Us has released its top 15 hottest toys for Christmas. This list is a prediction based on many different factors of what will be this year’s best, hottest and most desirable toy. Google has also release early search data on what toys will be hot this year. Nerf N-Strike Stampede is predicated to be a hot seller. There is a new dancing Mickey Mouse that is sure to be a early winner this year. Wacky Bandz have been popular all year round and will be a sure stocking stuffer and cheap gifts for nieces and nephews and grandchildren.

Last year we saw Zhu Zhu pet hamsters become the most sought after toy on the market. Demand was through the roof and of course supplies were far a few between. As a result these little inexpensive toys were selling for $200 on eBay weeks before Christmas. Same thing happened with Elmo a few years ago. And no doubt it will happen again this holiday season.

Early indication shows that there is more interest in electronic gadgets such as robots, personal mp3 players, video games and remote controlled toys. Last year we saw a small movement toward getting nostalgic toys from yesteryear, in part because they were cheaper. That fad has seemed to die off a bit.

Also big is LEGOs. Specifically Harry Potter themed LEGOs seem to be on the radar of parents and children. LEGO’s has always been a sure bet for a Christmas Toy. Leap frog will also do well this year with several new electronic learning gadgets. Parents still want to do the right thing.

One surprise this year is the lack of interest in Toy Story 3 merchandise. The franchise hit the market early this year with many new toys. It could be that parents shopped early for these toys, maybe for Birthdays. There are several new toys that just came out for the movie recently. We will have to keep an eye on the interest to see if any of them make the top ten list.
