A penhold racket is assembled slightly different than a shakehand racket in the following ways. Chinese penhold rackets look similar to the shakehand racket, but with a shorter handle. Japanese style rackets offer a slightly longer handle than a Chinese style handle and will feature cork mounted on top of the handle as well as on the backhand side of the blade for added comfort.
